10 reasons why India will not become a superpower

1.Religious extremism: Long term trends indicate that liberals and moderates in every religious community in India are on the defensive.

2. Left wing extremism: Extremism in the form of the Naxalite movement, which is a result of geographical reasons and also social and political forces, owing to the continued dispossession and deprivation of tribal people in India.

3. Corruption: The corruption and corrosion of the power center in India, as a result of political parties functioning as family firms rather than open, transparent political systems.

4. Decline of public institutions: This includesuniversities, police, civil services, the judiciary (except for higher judiciary) etc

5. Rich-poor divide: The increasing gap between the rich and the poor which is particularly manifested through farmer suicides in India, a phenomenon that has become pervasive only in the last 10-15 years, perhaps because there is now the expectation of a 'good life' that did not exist before.

6. Environmental degradation: The degradation at a local level, which is impacting people's lives in very real ways, whether in the form of massive depletion of underground aquifers, chemical contamination of soil, death of rivers, loss of species etc.

7. Apathy of the media: Apathy in covering issues of rising income inequality, environmental degradation.

8. Political chaos: The political fragmentation manifests as coalition governments at both the central and regional levels, which makes it very difficult to forge sustainable long term policies in the realm of health, education, etc.

9. Border disputes: India's unresolved border disputes, especially in Kashmir and the North East (Nagaland and Manipur) which indicates that there are parts of India that are not comfortable with being part of India.

10. Unstable neighbour: India's increasingly unstable neighbourhood is another serious impediment to our superpower ambitions.

All Happy and Gay... and its not about 377

Am excited about the budget, i have a sigh of relief but all are crying about stock markets.

Stock markets are not the only way to evaluate budget ... but worse the stock market better the budget for common man... think of it. Stock markets will grow only when companies see profit, companies will see profit when they sell at more, they will sell at more when we pay more and if we pay more from our pockets then how can a budget be good for us?

Think about it fellas :)

Know Shiney a little bit more

Shiney's fav movie - luck BAI chance ......

What's latest? Shiney is BAI-sexual

His fav. lines: BAI god ki kasam ......

His fav mode of transport? BAI Road ......

His fav. ride? BAIke ....... (He was so keen to come to Rodies but then he got to know there are no Bais in it)

What was Shiney singing that morning?

Is zamane se chupkar... puri kar lu mein hasrat

Mumbai's Bai association's new anthem : Ae Bai.... Zara dekh ke chalo

Why did he choose Mumbai to stay? cause he wants to be a Mum-BAI-kar

Is it merely a co-incidence that his movies reflect a strange connection to this incident :p :
(arranged as they released)
Hazaron Khwaishe Aisi - Sins - Karam - Kal, Yesterday and Tomorrow - Gangster - Woh Lamhe - Life in a Metro - Bhool Bhullaiya - Khoya Khoya Chand - Hijack - Har Pall

I am sure you are smart to get the connection :p

Piyush Mishra 's brilliant interpretation of the nostalgic Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna by Bismil. The lyrics are a brilliant sarcasm on the youth of today!

True of not, decide for yourself

Star Sons and Star Mums

Imagine what song would star children dedicate to their star moms?

Rahul Gandhi: Naaam re, sabse bada tera naam... o Congress wali, oo UPA wali, banaa de mujhe Pradhaan .... naam re... and of course
Mammi oo Mammi.... mein kab PM banunga, Mammi oo Mammi, kab tak piche rahunga

Varun Gandhi: Main Kabhi Batlata Nahin, Par Jail Se Darta Hoon Main Maa, Yun To Main Dikhlata Nahin,
par mayawati se jalta Hoon Main Maa, Tujhe Sab Hain Pata, Hain Na Maa, Tujhe Sab Hain Pat... Meri Maa

Chanda( Lalu's daughter): Haatho ki lakerien badal jayengi, Nitish ki nafrat Peeghal jayengi, Ho Sonia madam pe bhi aasar, Tu chaare ka hai ghar..... meri maa...

adding on with exactly the same lyrics for Nitish :p

Tu gussa karti hai Bada accha lagta hai, Tu kaan pakati hai Badi zor se lagta hai

Zardari: Oba-Maa tujhe salaam ...... oba-maa tujhe salaam

Obama: Dekh aaj US ka president hai tera laalaa.... kyunki Hillary thi gori aur mein kaala.

Saif Ali Khan: Ek bar ek bar national award dilaa, national award fir se dila do na maa..... jab censor board ki head bani mujhe ho gaya shumaaar, maine manga to nahi par bin maange aapne kia kamaal...

Tushar Kapoor: Awara hu, Awara hu.... bina kaam ke firta hua bechara hu....Awara hu

Karan Johar: Maa daa laadlaa bigad gaya.... Munda sadda doli chadh gaya band bajj gayaa

The content posted above is purely fictional and has nothing to do with life or death of anyone, if found correlated, it is a pure coincidence :p

Why Delhi Did Not Vote

Here are my 10 reasons why Delhi did not vote:
1) Wax from candles hurts my fingers since protest march of 26 Nov.

2) We just voted 6 months ago, i lose interest in repetition

3) You dont put ink mark on my middle finger the way you do in Mum, how do i pose for a camera after voting?

4) Why isn't voting till latenight? Voting should have continued till 1 AM, after all half of voting population is between 18-30

5) Am pissed off with Govt and system, why is election day a dry day?

6) Agreed Rajiv Gandhi gave a voting right to 18 years old, but what about drinking right? Damnn, no one cares for youth anymore

7) errr....Am confused, was it Delhi 6 or Delhi 7?

8) Why wasn't election on a Friday or Monday like in Mum?

9) We already have cheapest fuel in the country, Metro is shining high, roads are wider than any place in India, now vote for what?

10) Am confused whom to vote: a) BJP: Lotus is always in mudd, i dont want to make my constituency muddy b) Congress: Hold On am confused!!!! whose the PM candidate, if it is Manmohan Singh then why is he exposed less than Rahul Gandhi :-s c) SP: Cycle is outdated now D) BSP: Am again confused, is elephant the party symbol or is it their party leader? E) Left: Left has nothing right Ab batao, pappu kaise na banu?huh

I never thought i will see beggars on NYC streets hanging boards which read 'No home, no food, no money', i though they only exist in India but guess its a phenomenon across the globe. I thought recession will decrease prices of goods but besides houses every thing else is getting expensive. For instance, a metro monthly pass which costed you $81/ month will now cost New Yorkers $103/ month.

Policy makers are talking about stimulus packages being launched and there i see someone selling condoms at Times Square by the name of the same policy maker(Obama) who are trying to fetch money out of people's pockets to distribute amongst themselves. A bill in Congress is pending to raise salaries of elected representatives and most likely it will be passed and give an increment to the leaders during recession, question is who loses?

There exists 2 kind of people, one are those who will crib about recession and lose everything and another will take advantage of it. Advantage of low interest rate, best talent being easily available and cheaper office premise. It is heartening to know that Microsoft, HP, Gap, Genetech, Texas Instruments, Polaroid, Revlon, all of them were founded by smart entrepreneurs during recession.

I do not know if the world is moving in the right direction, may be because i do not have capacities to understand but what relieves me is that there are still sane people who will take an opportunity to come ahead and try to make a positive change.
